Legend has it that thousands of years ago, dragon fruit was created from a dragon’s dying breath, and was presented to the Emperor of China as proof of the beast’s defeat. The legend adds that it was the quest for this fruit, defended tooth and nail by the dragons, which led to the species’ demise.
Thés de la Pagode has a new take on this myth with a tea that is synonymous with Chinese tradition. This blend of “Chun Mee” green tea and Sencha is infused with Dragon Fruit. This exotic, bright pink fruit has a sweet and delicate flavour in the mouth.

In spring, in the gardens of Thés de la Pagode®, the "Imperial Plucking" is practiced: the pluckers select only the bud ("Pekoe" in Mandarin) and the first leaf. Another technique used is "fine picking". In this case, the pickers remove the bud and the first two leaves.
