Description
Earl Grey is a delectable tea for any tea lover. It is made with a blend of black teas and bergamot essence. According to legend, it was Charles Grey, an earl, who made this blend popular, which consists of adding a slice of bergamot orange to black tea. The bergamot tea he lent his name to was a great success throughout the country and then spread throughout the world.
For this Earl Grey Black Tea, we have selected two organic black teas from the Chinese provinces of Anxi and Yunnan, renowned for the quality of their black teas. These two varieties have full-bodied, robust notes that complement each other perfectly. They create a beautiful backdrop to the subtly fragrant flavour of bergamot. This hybrid citrus fruit comes from a cross between a lime and a Seville orange. This characteristic taste, which would be recognised anywhere, is what makes our Organic Earl Grey Black Tea so special.
As tribute to the great English classic, this organic Earl Grey Black Tea with Bergamot is perfect for any time of day and any occasion. For an invigorating start to your day, we recommend that you drink it in the morning because black tea with bergamot will stimulate both your body and mind. Earl Grey is, in fact, usually a breakfast staple. And if you love cooking and baking, consider using Earl Grey Black Tea because it is used in lots of original recipes for both food and cocktails. Earl Grey also goes perfectly with chocolate, whose taste is only enhanced by the bergamot in it. It is therefore ideal for cake recipes or simply as an accompaniment.

A precious plucking
Thés de La Pagode® respects an age-old tradition to ensure that all the benefits of tea are preserved. Indeed, the quality and fragrance of a tea are determined, among other things, by the type of leaf picked. In spring, in the gardens of Thés de la Pagode®, the "Imperial Plucking" is practiced: the pluckers select only the bud ("Pekoe" in Mandarin) and the first leaf. Another technique used is "fine picking". In this case, the pickers remove the bud and the first two leaves.
