Description
Darjeeling, meaning “storm country” in Tibetan, is the capital of Bengal located at the foot of the Himalayas. This tea is often nicknamed “the champagne of teas” as it is one of the most prestigious teas in the world. Thé de la Pagode’’s Darjeeling gardens are found in the foothills of the Himalayas between 1,200 and 2,000 metres above sea level.
This springtime grand cru produces a yellow infusion, lightly spiked with the delicate flavour of Muscat and green almond which envelops the palate and plays with fresh, pronounced, exotic notes. The taste lingers in the mouth and mind.

A precious plucking
Thés de La Pagode® respects an age-old tradition to ensure that all the benefits of tea are preserved. Indeed, the quality and fragrance of a tea are determined, among other things, by the type of leaf picked. In spring, in the gardens of Thés de la Pagode®, the "Imperial Plucking" is practiced: the pluckers select only the bud ("Pekoe" in Mandarin) and the first leaf. Another technique used is "fine picking". In this case, the pickers remove the bud and the first two leaves.
