Description

Our Green Tea with Jasmine came from combining sophisticated Chinese green tea with delicate jasmine blossoms. This blend is characterised by its balanced, floral notes. It is one of the most famous flavoured green teas in China!

Jasmine tea is produced using a traditional process, which gives it its sophisticated taste, without any bitterness. This involves picking jasmine at the hottest time of day, when its flowers are closed. They are then left aside so they can cool and open completely, releasing their sweet perfume. At nightfall, the fresh jasmine flowers are mixed with the tea leaves which soak up the fragrance. The more this technique is repeated, the more fragrant the tea becomes. The best jasmine tea may therefore have the process repeated 9 times. At the end of the process, the jasmine flowers are removed by hand.

Sample this gorgeous Chinese jasmine tea and fall under the spell of its subtle, floral infusion. Are you looking for something to pair with your tea? Drink a cup of jasmine green tea with milky desserts such as yogurt or custard-based treats.

Manufacturing secrets

A precious plucking

Thés de La Pagode® respects an age-old tradition to ensure that all the benefits of tea are preserved. Indeed, the quality and fragrance of a tea are determined, among other things, by the type of leaf picked. In spring, in the gardens of Thés de la Pagode®, the "Imperial Plucking" is practiced: the pluckers select only the bud ("Pekoe" in Mandarin) and the first leaf. Another technique used is "fine picking". In this case, the pickers remove the bud and the first two leaves.
