Mate

Mate is a plant native to Latin America, where it is called "Yerba Mate", and has been consumed in the form of an infusion for many centuries by the Guaraní indigenous people to ensure vitality, health and longevity. Traditionally drunk from a calabash with a filtering pipe called a "bombilla", mate is known for its revitalising properties as it contains not only a caffeine derivative but also antioxidants.
